Can I buy citizenship in Canada?
It is not possible to buy citizenship in Canada. Canadian citizenship is acquired through birth, descent, or naturalization.
To be eligible for naturalization (the process of becoming a citizen if you are not a Canadian citizen by birth), you must meet certain requirements. These may include being 18 years of age or older, having permanent resident status in Canada, living in Canada for at least three out of the last five years, demonstrating an adequate level of language proficiency, and having good character (e.g., no criminal record).
You cannot simply buy your way into Canadian citizenship. It is a privilege that is granted to those who meet the requirements and are able to demonstrate their commitment to Canada.
